Frequently Asked Questions

I’m over 40 and only now suspect ADHD — is it too late to work on this?

Not at all. Many women begin to recognise ADHD traits during perimenopause or menopause, when hormonal changes affect focus, emotional regulation, memory, and energy. What often feels like things “getting worse” is actually long‑standing patterns becoming harder to compensate for.

This work is especially supportive later in life, when you’re ready to understand yourself with compassion rather than keep pushing through.

I don’t have a formal diagnosis — can I still work with you?

Yes. Many women I work with are undiagnosed, self‑diagnosed, or in the process of seeking assessment. A diagnosis is not required. What matters is your lived experience and whether you recognise yourself in what you’ve read.

How does perimenopause or menopause fit into this work?

Hormonal changes can intensify ADHD‑style traits such as overwhelm, emotional sensitivity, brain fog, anxiety, and exhaustion. When combined with years of coping and masking, this can feel frightening or destabilising.

EFT and NLP work gently with your nervous system, helping you feel more regulated and supported during this stage of life, without adding more pressure or expectations.

Will this help me be more productive or organised?

Sometimes increased clarity and focus are natural outcomes, but that isn’t the goal. We’re not aiming to force productivity or discipline. The intention is to reduce overwhelm, calm your system, and help you work with your energy rather than against it.

I’ve tried therapy, coaching, planners, and strategies before — how is this different?

Many traditional approaches focus on behaviour and mindset alone. My work starts with the nervous system and subconscious patterns that drive overwhelm, shutdown, and self‑criticism.

This is often why it feels gentler, deeper, and more sustainable — especially for women who’ve spent decades trying to “fix” themselves.

What if I feel nervous about starting?

That’s very common. You don’t need to be ready, confident, or clear. We move at your pace, and there’s no expectation to perform or explain yourself perfectly.
